RECYCLON INFORMATION RECYCLON® is a recyclable carbon neutral bio-plastics made partly with plants. Recyclon uses enough plant materials to achieve carbon neutral* status. Furthermore, Recyclon has a lower melting point. This reduces both processing temperature and cycle time, dramatically reducing energy use, whilst retaining the high transparency of traditional PET-G resins. Recyclon is approved by all major health authorities including EFSA (European Food Safety Authority), the US FDA and Japan’s JHOSPA as a BPA free, phthalate free, non-toxic and safe material for food containers. ION8 have chosen to use Recyclon as it provides a more environmentally friendly option when compared to the materials used by most other major water bottle manufacturers.
